How long do the Murder Mysteries go for?

How do you win the game?
There are three prizes up for grabs:

• Best Solution goes to the group that presents the best Who Dunnit, or to the murderer if they are not accused.
• Richest Player goes to the person who ends up with the most wealth.
• Best Performer goes to the person who plays their character in the most entertaining way.

Do people have to get up in front of others and act?
A few of the characters might need to read out speeches or information, but other than that you mix and mingle in small groups, in a friendly and fun party format. You choose the level of your involvement. You can be as extroverted, loud, and silly as you dare.

Does everyone get their own character to play?
Yes. Each person is a star! Cast your guests according to their sex, age group, personality and character preferences.

What is the Information Pack?
Before the event an Info Pack is provided for each guest. These are PDF files you can print out or send to people via email. Each pack contains:

• The name of the character they have been cast as, and some background.
• Date, time and location of the event.
• Suggestions on how to dress.
• Background information on the murder in the form of a Newspaper front page.
• List of all the other characters and guests.

The packs allow guests to get ready for the game and to get into their characters. It's also very exciting!

What if guests at the function don't know each other?
We've found that this doesn't matter. Being a character gives everyone plenty of reasons and excuses to mingle and have fun. These functions are also ideal for partners that might normally find it difficult to mix in with work or club colleagues.

Does the murderer know who they are?
Yes, they will be told if they are the murderer in the secret character envelopes that are handed out on the day. Inside is secret information about characters, their relationships and goals.

Can food be served during the Murder Mystery?
Absolutely. You can have a sit down meal or finger food.

Is alcohol allowed?
Yes, we think it's a great way for people to relax, enjoy themselves, and release their inner actor. Just check that it is okay with the venue first and be responsible with your drinking.
